WhereThe venue consists of several unusually-decorated houses in a picturesque rural area. The address is House on the Brooks, Hardham Mill, Hardham RH20 1LA.
The venue is 30 min walk (or 5 min car ride) from Pulborough train station -- we can pick you up from there on request. Pulborough is connected to Gatwick Airport with a direct train, which takes 40 min. It is also possible to get there from other London airports by public transport within 2h30min. If you want to drive to the venue, there will be parking spaces available. |
WhenThere will be two runs of the larp, on the following dates:
SCHEDULEThe larp will start at 2pm on the first day; all participants must be at the venue by then. We will have a few of hours of workshops and time in before dinner. The play will continue until early evening on the third day. After time-out around 5pm, we will have an optional debrief, and then an afterparty - but you can leave directly after time-out if you prefer. The participants need to leave the venue by 10am on the final day.

VENUEThe venue provides hotel-quality accommodation. There will be comfortable beds with bed linens and towels provided. Most bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with hot water.
There are both double and single beds. We encourage people to sleep in-game, which would mean e.g. sharing a bed with an in-game spouse, or sharing a twin bedroom with a friend or a sibling. However, off-game sleeping will be possible. You will be able to communicate your sleeping preferences to us closer to the larp. Sadly, the venue is not wheelchair-accessible. Please contact us about any other accessibility questions. CostumeMost characters will be wearing casual 90s clothes: you need to bring your own costume. When on duty, the law enforcement characters would be wearing uniform; we will provide you with some appropriate accessories that you will need to pair with a black or white shirt and black trousers.

FOODCooking meals as a family will be part of play for many of the characters. The venue consists of several buildings with their own kitchens and dining rooms, which should enable this kind of play. Closer to the larp, we will help you co-ordinate within your family/flatmate groups who will cook which meal, and we'll stock your fridges with everything you need. We will help you communicate and cater to your dietary requirements.
We don't expect anyone to cook Michelin-star food, but we believe in your capacity to prepare e.g. beans-on-toast for lunch or pasta with a 3-ingredient sauce for dinner for 4-6 people. People who prefer not to cook will be asked to set the table or wash up. The diner will also be serving food on request, prepared by organiser NPCs. It will be provided for free (even though in the fiction it's a business). You can choose to eat there for in-character or out-of-character reasons: to have a romantic date or because you burnt your 3-ingredient pasta... We will provide a moderate amount of alcohol, but we expect the participants to not get drunk. |
